
· Roberta Pickett is committed to empowering professionals, especially in mid-career or mid-life, to create successful, joyful, fulfilling lives. She earned the designation of Certified Professional Co-Active Coach from the Coaches Training Institute and Certified Business Coach from Inspired On Demand. In addition, she spent several years as a Wellness Coach for a large healthcare organization, coaching many hundreds of clients to reduce their cholesterol levels and/or manage their diabetes.
· In 2001, Roberta co-founded the ICF Sacramento, a Charter Chapter of the International Coach Federation, and served as its first president. She was a member of the International Coach Federation for almost 20 years.
· She served as an instructor and consultant for the California State University, Sacramento, College of Continuing Education, providing leadership development, consulting, and coaching services for over 15 years for numerous private entities and public agencies, including the California Franchise Tax Board, Department of Insurance, and the Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation.
· For several years, Roberta hosted a monthly live TV show called “INSIGHTS on Leadership & Life” on TSPN-TV, in Jackson, CA which can still be accessed via YouTube.
· Prior to becoming a coach, Roberta enjoyed a 25 year career in telecommunications, promoting upward in Finance and Operations from entry level to executive. She also spent two years as a Quality Facilitator where she discovered her joy for teaching and an appreciation for metrics to tell a story and to provide direction for change.
· Roberta is a current member and past president of Amador Upcountry Rotary Club. She was selected to serve as District Governor for Rotary District 5190 for 2020-21, supporting 60 clubs and over 2000 Rotarians across northeastern California and northern Nevada to do good in the world. She believes that when you give joy to others through service, you receive joy back. She earned a Master of Arts in Organizational Management from the University of Phoenix and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Notre Dame de Namur.
· She is the published author of “Hot, Sweaty, and Happy: Lessons Learned along the Trail”, a book that encourages people to discover their passions and make time for joy in their life. She and her husband, Dave, followed their dream and now live in the heart of the Sierras in beautiful Amador County, California. They enjoy and appreciate their country lifestyle and their family: three married children, twelve grandchildren, and three happy dogs.
